Terms of Membership

These terms apply to Tech Sei Community ("the Community"), run by Tech Sei Lab LLP, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India ("Tech Sei", "we"). By creating an account you agree to them.

1. What membership is

Basic membership is a one-year membership that gives you access to community updates, meetups and sessions we schedule, the Support Box, intro courses, and a member ID card. What is included may change over time. [Decide and state here whether core Basic benefits are guaranteed for the full paid year.]

2. Who can join

You must be 18 or older. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must create the account on your behalf and accepts these terms for you.

3. Fees, offers and renewal

Basic membership costs the price shown at checkout, per year. Launch offers apply only as described on the site and only to a first-time membership. Membership does not renew automatically; you choose whether to renew. Refunds: [state your refund policy here, for example whether refunds are offered and within how many days].

4. Your member ID card

The card and QR code identify you as a member of the Community. They are not a government-issued ID and do not certify any qualification. Do not share your account or let others use your card.

5. Using the Community

Be respectful. Do not post unlawful, harassing, misleading or infringing content, do not spam mentors or members, and do not try to break or misuse the service. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.

6. Support Box and sessions

Answers from mentors and experts are given in good faith for learning purposes and are not professional, legal, medical or financial advice. We do not guarantee response times or that any individual expert will attend a session.

7. Content

Courses and materials belong to Tech Sei or its contributors and are for your personal learning. Do not copy or resell them.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will post the new date above. Questions: [contact email]. Disputes are subject to the laws of India and the courts at [city, e.g. Tiruchirappalli].

What we collect

Why we use it

To create your account and member ID card, run the membership, take payment, deliver courses and sessions, answer your Support Box questions, and, only if you opted in, send you updates and reminders. Our basis for processing is your consent, which you give when you sign up.

Children

If a member is under 18, a parent or guardian must sign up for them and give consent on their behalf. Parents can contact us to view, correct or delete a child's data.

The public verification page

When someone scans your card's QR code, the page shows only your first name, last initial, role, interest area, membership start date and whether it is active. It does not show your photo, email, phone or address.

Who we share it with

Service providers that run the Community for us: Supabase (database and login), Netlify (website hosting), and Razorpay (payments). Our team and advisors who answer Support Box questions can see the messages you send there. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

While your account exists. If you delete your account, your login, profile, membership, progress and Support Box messages are erased. Payment records are kept as needed for accounting and tax law, without a link to your profile.

Your rights

You can view and edit your details in your profile, withdraw your optional consent to updates at any time, and delete your account and data from the Profile page. For anything else, or to raise a grievance, write to [grievance contact name and email].

Security

Data is stored with a managed database provider using access controls that let each member see only their own records. No online service is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you suspect a problem.
